The Secret Garden has had many years experience in creating new Patios, both for Commercial and Domestic properties. As a full design and build company we are able to cater to anyone’s taste or budget. Wether you require a Contemporary, sleek design or Traditional Paving product, we are able to supply you with a full service from beginning to end of the project.

All patio and pathway projects, wether designed from simple block paving products or heavy granite slab paving, have a general specification. We excavate all areas to a minimum of 150mm, to allow a hardcore base to be laid and compacted. From this point we are able to lay all slab products on a complete wet bed of mortar. If edging is required for retaining purposes or raised beds, then we concrete and build these at the same time. Once the paving is laid we finish with a full wet pointing straight from mortar guns. This process allows minimal cracking as the patio ages. If you require a block paved patio, then the choice of block is laid on a maximum sharp sand bed of 50mm, and cut in to suite. Kiln dried sand is then swept into the joints and compacted one final time.

We are able to supply and install paving products from many sources including Marshall’s, Bradstone, Stone Market and Camas. These larger suppliers, along with other more specialist companies, that we use, ensure our customers are able to select a paving product that really suit their needs.

Any mixture of these products can be used along with aggregates of all colours and shapes, to help compliment your patio project.
